Detailed Itinerary

Marrakesh arrival

Winston Churchil described it to Roosevelt in 1943 as the loveliest spot in the world. Marrakesh is the work of two dynasties; the Almoravides from the Sahara who founded the city in 1062. Almouahades dynasty from the Atlas Mountains conquered the city in 1147 and became rapidly one of the most important dynasties in the Islam world and famous for its pink color, palaces, museums, mosques and market. Afternoon half day guided city tour of Marrakesh to learn about its magnificent history. The city tour will take us to the old Medina surrounded by magic mud walls. A morning visit to the Koutoubia Minaret- the twin sister of Al Jeralda in Seville- Spain, and the lovely gardens next to it will bring you back to the 12th century in history. When followed by a visit to the Saadieen tombs and the Bahaia palace, you will then be brought back hundreds of years to realize how intelligent and how genius those people were to come up with those art masterpieces though they used just very simple tools and their shoulders, then Jemaa El Fna square ‚ truly a talking painting with arrays of food, snake charmers, music players and fortune tellers- to put some magic on the visitor ’s senses!
