8 days / 7 nightsDay 1: Marrakech - Hotel
Meet at Marrakech The rest of the day at leisure to relax or a short orientation tour of Marrakech. Marrakech is the city that enchants every visitor with its great old Medina surrounded by magic mud walls and its numerous monuments. Marrakech also is a charming city with its lovely gardens and its fresh non-polluted air .Dinner and accommodation in the hotel.Day 2: Marrakech - Ouarzazate - Tinghir
Forwarding southwards in the morning after breakfast is a rewarding trip one should never miss! The spectacular Tizi In Tichka pass, about 100km of charm curves on the High Atlass mountain, is there to make you start appreciating what’s the south of the kingdom really looks like and how magnificent it is! We will go through Ouarzazate to the beautiful village of Skoura. After the visit of Skoura we will continue our trip through the one thousand and one Kasbah routes heading for El Kella M’Gouna, famous for its roses festival: a yearly celebration of the rose which is the main product of this small but beautiful village. We will go on to Dadess and its beautiful valley before continuing our trip to Tinghir for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Tinghir - Erfoud - Rissani - Merzouga
Tinghir is a very charming town with a big oasis of more then 40 kms very rich with most sorts of fruits, thousands of palm trees and olives. After breakfast, we will have some time to wander the very green oasis to discover the wonderful beauty of nature reflected in very green fields and a big river along the valley. We will continue northwards to crown our experience in the Toudghra Gorges: a wall like mountain fissure of about 300 m. Just the way to Toudra Gorges is magical in itself! After lunch in the Toudgha Gorge, we will leave Tinghir via Tinjdad to Erfoud. After visiting Erfoud we will continue via Rissani to Merzouga for dinner and overnight by the dunes. Optional two hours camel ride to witness the great and the most beautiful sunset and sun rise over the dunes.
Day 4: Merzouga - Alnif - Tasarine - Zagora
The experience in Merzouga is very rewarding as everything there is very special: the golden dunes, the moon, the stars, and the sun. In short and as one of our guests said about Merzouga “I don’t think there is a more peaceful and mysterious place on Earth than that” We will le ave Merzouga and its very peaceful world through the Berber villages of Alnif and Tazarine to Zagoura. An excursion to the famous Tamgroute library with its very old Coranic scripts dating back to the 12th century is not to be missed. Dinner and overnight
Day 5: Zagora - Agdez - Ouarzazate
After breakfast we will leave Zagoura to Agdez: a Berber village with its charming mud houses and nice people. After the visit of the village we will continue the trip to Ouarzazate: Morocco’s Hollywood with its big cinematographic studios where the shooting of the greatest films all over the world is the main concern of the city. In Ouarzazate also we will have the chance to appreciate a visit to the famous Glaoui Kasbahs: Taourirt and Tifoultout. Dinner and overnight
Day 6: Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddoiu - Marrakech
The city tour of Ouarzazate includes Tourirt Kasbah, considered as one of the most beautiful kasbahs in Morocco and Tifoultout Kasbah with its remarkable views over the valley. Visit the cinematographic studios where many great films were and are still being shot. Continue on to the wonderful fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, the most spectacular fortress village in the south of Morocco and the film making village where many great films were shot. Leave Ait Ben Haddou crossing the High Atlas Mountains via spectacular Tiz-In Tichka pass (2260m) to Marrakech for overnight.
Day 7: Marrakech
After breakfast, we will have a full day city tour of Marrakech with a local guide. Marrakech with Jemaa El Fna square, the medina, the gardens, the very old monuments and much more has many things to attract you with! A morning visit to the Koutoubia Minaret - the twin sister of Al Jeralda in Seville- and the lovely gardens next to it will bring you back to the 12th century in history. When followed by a visit to the Saâdian tombs and the Bahaia palace, you will then be brought back hundreds of years to realize how smart and mighty those people were to come up with those marvels though they used just very simple tools and their shoulders. The Menara gardens also have much to tell you, before wandering through the very narrow and crowded souks. Overnight in Marrakech
Day 8: Marrakech - Airport
After breakfast, our driver/guide will accompany you back to Marrakech airport to bid you farewell and looking for serving you again in your next trip to this peaceful and mysterious country.
